At Tidewater Mushrooms we care about how you fuel your bodies, while also preserving the natural environment. That’s why we work together as a family to grow mushrooms utilizing sustainable farming practices. We don’t believe dangerous chemicals have a place in what we consume. We believe in the natural cycles found on the tidewaters of Virginia to produce our mushrooms. Growing organic isn’t just a business; it’s a vocation, lifestyle, and a responsibility that we take seriously.
We grow outdoor log-cultivated mushrooms, producing a higher quality of the same species typically grown indoors under a climate-controlled environment.
Our logs are sourced through innovative forest management practice. Through partnerships with the Virginia Department of Forestry and local woodlot owners, we hand cultivate mushrooms on logs otherwise not suitable for timber or firewood. Innovations to mushroom production allows Tidewater Mushrooms to maintain traditional cultivation practices while growing at a fraction of the cost. Our conservational approach allows these logs to produce mushrooms for multiple seasons.
Preorder inoculated logs! Choose your strain of preference and establish your own micro-mushroom farm. Logs will be inoculated in the fall of 2024.
